J.Kristi Feathers

Specializing in credit issues for consumers such as credit
bureau problems, collection agency abuse, accurate credit
reporting, Fair Credit Rights and Consumer Education. With
over 20 years experience in credit and debt, I use my knowledge
to empower others and help them create a powerful credit profile
for a better financial future. My expertise is to focus
strictly on credit related issues and give consumers the tools
they need to have an accurate and fair credit profile and
to defend themselves against abusive collection practices
by using the FDCPA and the FCRA.
Kristi Feathers has
been a world wide web presence for over 13 years now. A former
credit union collection manager and debt collector, she entered
the field of entrepreneurialisim to discover her passion-
working for herself and helping others. Since
that time she has appeared on national television- PBS, consulted
for publicly traded corporations, written extensive articles
and provided integral input on financial educational information
via the Internet to multiple outlets.
Kristi Feathers is
a Credit Expert. She has spent
over 18 years dealing with credit bureaus, collection agencies,
debt and bankruptcy. Kristi has been on both sides of the
industry and understands each. "With over 60 million

Kristi's background
included working in financial institutions, credit unions
and collection agencies. She continued her education through
multiple workshops that she has attended that include, repossession
laws, foreclosure issues, Fair Debt Collection laws and Fair
Credit Reporting laws. Kristi worked as a freelance expert
for many credit unions wherein she reviewed the credit unions
collection practices and helped reduce their delinquency and
foreclosure rates.
Her approach to helping
the consumer rather than hinder the consumer, paved way to
her success. Consumers felt empowered by her expertise and
her fresh approach to collecting debts. Many debt collectors
belittle and abuse consumers but Kristi's approach is to act
more as a debt coach to help brainstorm with the debtor to
resolve their delinquency. This approach showed high results
in almost zero delinquencies for the credit unions she assisted.
After many years in this field, she broadened her scope to
include the Internet where she could assist consumers nationwide
to help them understand their credit rights.
Kristi is well aware of the complaints filed
each year with the Federal Trade Commission relating to collection
abuse and credit bureau errors, yet when she researched the
subject online, she found very few experts that focused on
these specific issues. Most either focused on money management
and investing or basic finance. No one really seemed to have
much information on the deeper issues of credit bureau tactics
and collection agency abuse.
 This
is the niche Kristi wanted to fill. With all of her knowledge
she began helping online financial portals address these issues.
Kristi was featured on World Business
Review television as the Credit Expert for a publicly traded
financial services company. Since that time she has marketed
her own ebook, "Getting the Credit
you Deserve" which she sells on various financial
websites. The book is geared towards consumers who have suffered
inaccurate credit reporting or collection abuse.
